Norton County Hospital has a part time or full time career opportunity for a Respiratory Therapist. This position is responsible for performing all aspects of Respiratory Therapy including ABG's, CPAP management, nebulizers, incentive spirometry, body plethysmography, pulmonary rehabilitation, a wide variety of diagnostic testing including EKG's, Holter monitoring, stress testing, and pulmonary function testing, assist with sleep studies patient assessments, and equipment management. This position will share on-call responsibility to respond to emergency situations involving the respiratory status of patients. This position will provide education to patients on respiratory diseases as appropriate.

Position qualifications include:

  • Current Kansas licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Maintains current certification in Healthcare Provider BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as approved by facility policy. (If not current in the previous advanced certifications, time may be allowed after hire to complete them.)
