Updating Policy Language - Return to Office

Many of our clients with HR Partners have emphasized the stress of work schedules and locations changing because of the pandemic.  Now, they want to get back to pre-March 2020 business operations schedules (if they have not already).  Please see the template policy below, and please feel free to incorporate this language into your employee handbook.

Work Schedules

The regular workweek for full-time {COMPANY} employees is Monday through Friday and consists of forty (40) hours, excluding lunch breaks. Employees will be provided with their work schedules by their Supervisor and will be notified promptly should any changes be made to their schedules. {COMPANY} may alter, change, or modify the employee’s schedule or location at its sole discretion. Remote work is prohibited unless authorized in advanced by {COMPANY}. Employees should direct all questions regarding their schedule to their Supervisor.

One more item:  good article on this subject matter that I read today from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management).  As always, please contact HR Partners at 785-233-7860 with any of your questions or concerns.

What our clients say...

Bruce Graham
Chief Executive Officer
Kansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc.

"HR Partners has helped us with those 'I’ll get around to it' things such as an employee handbook and updating employee files.  The most important benefit is they are a phone call away from peace of mind on all things HR.

It is a challenge for any employer to keep up on changes to personnel practices and requirements.  The suite of services HR Partners can provide is comprehensive and affordable.  The question should be, can you afford not to engage them as part of your employee relations program?"
